“ Had a lovely dinner at Spoke last night. Service was really great, as well as the small plate pacing. The highlights were definitely the sun choke donuts, carpaccio, and tomatoes with mushroom sauce and cheese whiz. The donuts tasted like grown up Funyuns, and the bites of carpaccio brought me back to eating a pastrami sandwich with mustard and pickles on the side at a Jewish deli. The tomatoes were super juicy, sweet, and refreshing, and played really well with the Smokey and savory sauce and cheese. ”
“ I can't rave enough about Spoke, nor could I possibly count the number of times I've enjoyed their incredible food, drinks, and hospitality. This is our special occasion place *and* our neighborhood place (I admit it's appropriately a little expensive, so it's slightly more on the special occasion side), and it's the place where we know we're going to regularly be blown away. We've brought friends from out of town, and each time they've marveled at the experience. On occasion there might be a dish that we might not love as much as the others, but I appreciate that the chefs are always pushing boundaries and being creative. Also, for such a thoughtful and yet small menu, there are great options for vegetarians, gluten-free folks, and vegans. (I brought a friend from London who can't eat gluten and she was in seventh heaven.) I'm almost reluctant to tell you how much I love it because I want to be able to get in, but I also want them to always be around! ”

My boyfriend and I were really blown away by the creative, boundary-pushing dishes— it’s unlike anything you’ll find in Boston or even New York for that matter. Each dish we ordered was delicious and innovative, showcasing a level of originality that’s soo hard to come by. The cocktails were just as inventive, perfectly complementing the meal.
